This is the happiest time of the year. However, there are many, many less fortunate people across the globe who do not have access or the means to enjoy it. So I only found it right to celebrate having my own day by giving back to an organization that aids immigrants and refugees to this country who need it so desperately. My life as it is today, would have not been possible had my parents not made the ultimate sacrifice by leaving everything they knew for a chance at something better. American Gateways fights for good people stuck in terrible situations, and they can't do it alone. Thank you to those at American Gateway for the wonderful work they do. Join me for a fun night of performance, delicious Ethiopian food, and giving back. See you soon!
